A Dentist’s Biggest Mistake

Your business has a brand, or a reputation that encompasses who you are, what you do, and how you do it. Unfortunately, most dentists do not understand the importance of creating a business identity. Many dentists without a branding strategy struggle to stand out. It is a critical component to the success of your marketing efforts.

Many patients are under the impression that all dentists are the same because they have not yet been shown otherwise. Most dentists have not realized the value of branding just yet, and because of that, many practices appear to be interchangeable in the eyes of patients. Maybe you, like most dentists, haven’t yet established your strategic brand strategy. That’s ok. You still have the opportunity to distinguish yourself before most other dentists realize the power of a well crafted business identity. There is no specific message being sent, aside from the obvious attempt to show that they are, in fact, a dental practice. The title does not say anything about who this practice is or what they stand for, and they lack a tagline altogether.

The one on the bottom is an original branding from Identity Dental Marketing. The dental practice is titled “Excel”, suggesting that this company demonstrates excellence in dentistry and patient care. The tagline,“Experience Exceptional Care” boldly states that this practice is dedicated to providing high quality dental care to their patients, and it is also nicely tied in with its title. The logo is unique, but memorable, and it is easily duplicated. This means that this practice is able to place this logo on their website, business cards, and any other marketing tool they use. Also, this branding employs calming colors that represent trust, which their patients will pick up on, even if it is only subconsciously. Branding adds value to your practice, which will ultimately help you to attract new patients. A strong branding projects an image of professionalism, tying together your logo, name and tagline in order to represent who you are as a practice.
