A Heartfelt Letter From Grace Rizza, Owner & Founder, Identity Dental Marketing
Identity Dental Marketing
Dear Candidate,
When seeking your next career move, please consider your ideal work environment, read this letter, and then consider applying if we seem to be what you are seeking. In the past 8 years of working with full-time employees, interns, and contractors, we’ve defined and created our core values. We’ve found hiring team members with similar values makes for an ideal long-term fit.
I’ve been accused of many things in the past by previous employees, including high expectations, heavy workloads, and too much innovation. If these things concern you, feel free to pass on this incredible opportunity. I seek to employ only those with ambition, a strong work ethic, and a desire for continual personal and professional growth.
In an attempt to improve our hiring processes, we’ve implemented Predictive Index Assessments and paid working interviews to help find the ideal fit team members. This has almost eliminated turnover and has led to the creation of a powerful, positive, and motivated team of high-achievers. We truly have a group of amazing individuals that make up Identity Dental Marketing. Each of us is willing to jump in and help each other out when needed. The morale here is off-the-charts high. It wasn’t always that way. Like any business, we’ve had our share of growing pains. We’ve since settled and it feels good to be home!
There are some things I’ve never been accused of, including: not having a sense of humor, not being compassionate or understanding when an employee is going through a rough patch personally, not being accommodating to the individual needs of employees, not offering growth potential, lack of communication, lack of passion or enthusiasm, lack of growth. I’m not a person who wants to be put on a pedestal. I want my managers and employees to own their roles. I am not a micro-manager and am more often accused of not giving enough specific direction. Don’t worry, I have team members who help with the details and implementation of our systems, while I enjoy a visionary role here. The business runs like a well-oiled machine most of the time. We all work very efficiently to ensure this is the case.
Our team is not just a group of co-workers. We function more as a group of close friends. We celebrate together, we eat together (twice a week at least), and we joke… OFTEN! When walking the halls of Identity Dental Marketing, you’ll notice boisterous laughter and plenty of sarcasm. You may even hear a Christmas carol in March. Yes, we’re a bit eclectic (understatement of the year). We do not take ourselves as seriously as we take our work.
Our mean age is about 30. Most of us have 5-10 years of experience, however, some of our most valued, vital team members are also our youngest. We do not discriminate against age, gender, or race. Performance is key to your personal growth.
Our core values include:
- Excellent Communication (Clear, Concise, Correct)
- Continual seeking of personal and professional growth
- Integrity (including honesty at all times and personal responsibility)
- Discernment
